Since leaving academia in 2019 Mark has focussed on his writing. He has published a first science fiction novel, ‘Icefall Cities’, and written a sequel, ‘Firedrift Moon’, that concludes the ‘Vast Alien Crisis’ duology. In 2022 he also published a graphic novel, ‘Stellar Megastructure’ (more info in the Comics section). He is currently working on a fantasy novel.
