Through the practice of yoga we can find freedom of movement, space in the body and stillness of the mind

Welcome!

My name is Caroline Eyles and I have been practicing Yoga most of my life, but more formally since 2004, and teaching yoga in Southampton (UK) since 2016.

The style of yoga that I teach is called Flow Yoga or Vinyasa Yoga. This means that in my classes we link yoga poses in a sequence that is coordinated with the breath. This helps us to focus on the use of breath and movement to enhance mindful awareness of the present moment and connection on all levels of the person.

I did my Yoga teacher training with FRYOG as I wanted to deepen my personal practice, and found along the way that I LOVE to teach yoga.

Yoga helps me to move more freely, to feel grounded, calms my mind and helps me to navigate through the ever changing landscape of life.

I offer group yoga classes, one to one yoga classes and chair yoga classes around Southampton

I have had a career spanning over 20 years as a healthcare researcher and healthcare practitioner. This has enabled a solid grounding in my understanding of health and wellbeing within the context of the mind-body relationship.

I passionately believe that yoga is for everyone, and my classes are suitable for all abilities, including beginners, as I offer many options and modifications. Living with the results of a back condition means that I bring the qualities of sensitivity and compassion to my teaching, on and off the mat, with a deep awareness that we all work within our own abilities and capacity.

I am also a member of the Yoga in HealthCare Alliance (YIHA) and am trained to deliver the Yoga4Health Social Prescribing Protocol. The Alliance is a UK registered charity dedicated to integrating the benefits of yoga into healthcare and works with the NHS to support patients.
